Brgy. Tadlac Feeding Program (2013)

August 21, 2013 marks the sorority’s 18th anniversary. On the same day, most parts of Luzon is in the midst of days of heavy to torrential rains brought by Typhoon Maring and west monsoon.

In celebrating our 18th year of sisterhood, the Sisses decided to organize a feeding program at Brgy. Tadlac, Los Baños, Laguna with the big help of Sis Carla Porticos.

It’s hard to celebrate in other ways than this. It’s hard seeing the people frown at the corner of their wet and damp tents but it’s lightening to give them our special day by being there with our hearts and the help of the other volunteers.

The activity gave us the feeling of ‘legally accepting’ the duties of being Omegans by Serving to the People despite whatever time and day it may be.

Thank you UP Omega Alpha Fraternity, Brods, for the gift. For being there with us though we know you have families to look to and academics to keep up to.

And to the baby boy born that day, at the very time of the relief operation, Welcome to the world! Hopes high because Omegans are praying for you and your community.

This is so far our best celebration through the revival days. 🙂
